Accrington Stanley? Oo are they?
Lancashire Telegraph: Angry kids hold vigil for Accrington Stanley
Celebrating excellence in the field of local newspaper photography
Local news photographers are hugely skilled and poorly paid, and get sent to photograph miserable people gurning at uncooked meat products. Here, we celebrate their work.
All images copyright their respective media outlets, and will be removed on request.

I'm old enough to remember when Accrington Stanley were in the Fourth Division* of the old Football League - back in the days of the Light Programme...only two black-and- white TV channels...most houses without central heating...shops selling stuff like it was still wartime rationing...in-your-face sexism, racialism, classism...The Good Old Days(not).
Except that most newspapers were as crap then as now.
*and/or the Third Division North.
