I'm old enough to remember when Accrington Stanley were in the Fourth Division* of the old Football League - back in the days of the Light Programme...only two black-and- white TV channels...most houses without central heating...shops selling stuff like it was still wartime rationing...in-your-face sexism, racialism, classism...The Good Old Days(not).
Except that most newspapers were as crap then as now.
I feel sorry for local news photographers. They are hugely skilled and poorly paid, and sent out to photograph miserable people pointing at dog turds. Here, we celebrate their work
Photographers! If you can send us an angry picture from a newspaper (anonymously, of course) which you can prove is your work, you will WIN a year's supply of digital camera film (slightly used, date expired, processing not paid).
