As a commenter noted, a shocking sense of entitlement! All they had to do was turn the water off at the stopcock. I suppose every housing assoc / council tenant should have a 'Homeserve' man living with them 24/7. Stupid useless chav!
I don't buy this. If the toilet was overflowing due to a blocked waste outlet, then the most water that could possibly have leaked is 9l for the old standard cistern. Did they stand there flushing the bog all night trying to shift the blockage?
