Coventry Telegraph: Woman's car repossessed over outstanding finance owed by previous owner

I don't have particularly strong views on this, but people who do this should be peeled, rolled in salt, and left for the pigs

The article & comments confirm that the buyer carried out an HPI check before buying the car, & so should be covered (by HPI) for up to £30K, if:
- It was a full HPI check.
- The check results were all good.
- The buyer followed the advice given by HPI.

Still, even if all this happened, there's still the massive arse-ache of having your car taken away & having to do all the paperwork for the HPI claim.
Buying privately is a little bit chancy whatever you do :(
