Celebrating excellence in the field of local newspaper photography
Local news photographers are hugely skilled and poorly paid, and get sent to photograph miserable people gurning at uncooked meat products. Here, we celebrate their work.
All images copyright their respective media outlets, and will be removed on request.

'Maggots' need oxygen to breathe or they die. Not much, but they wouldn't live for long in a sealed can. So these maggots were neither alive nor moving. If that part of the story isn't true then how much of the rest of it is?
The dog doesn't look angry as such, more ashamed to be caught up in this compo-scam.
The expression on that dog's face is priceless. On another note, there's this notion that dog owners resemble their dogs and vice versa. What do you think?
Having been listening to Dr Who and The Green Death this week, I can say, fine eating on one of those beasties.
