"I am scared of spiders as it is, so this terrified me." basic taxonomic knowledge would have saved her from this particular fear. Spiders and bats aren't even remotely related. Plus, it's only a micro-bat!

My wife would still be screaming. We've had bats get in the house a couple of times. I even had a cat that could pick them out of the air. Yeah...they are very beneficial. But there's still something creepy about them.
