Human? How does one tell without tasting it?
Sadly this is the kind of paranoid scare mongering that perpetuates ignorance about HIV and AIDS. Unless he had a particularly nasty mouth ulcer, the chances of contracting HIV in these circumstances is as close to zero as you can get.
Unless he either blew off the staff member concerned, or is covering up for some nefarious activity he's been up to.
