That's harsh. The employee should not have to pay for a CRB check. If they are going to charge an employee for something then they should let the employee supply their own.
Mind you, I'd pay her £1.96 to do some "care work" for me!
70 odd quid for 3 shifts? Bloody hell, how do some people cope?
Also, 3 'shifts' with me would pay her ALOT more than £70...
