That picture doesn't do it justice, the bird's beak is actually about an inch and a half long. They call them butcher birds because they hang their prey in trees and tear it apart with the hook on the end of the beak. That said, if you hand feed them, they are actually really gentle. You know what they say about Aussie wildlife, it's all trying to kill you. I love the contrast between the two cyclists in that picture. He's dripping blood and she's got a huge grin on her face.
